Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the East Bay area. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the East Bay area. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

We welcome all Livermore residents as well as future riders from neighboring towns such as Tracy, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Fremont, Hayward and Milpitas. Come learn how to ride a motorcycle and have fun with us!

"I took the class with my son, and we both liked it! Evie, Erin and Brian are fantastic, patient instructors, who made the class fun and motivating. What I liked a lot is that the course isn’t just about learning to ride, but emphasizes safety which is especially important for younger people, like my 17year old son, whose frontal lobe hasn’t fully matured yet. :) Thank you for such a great experience!"
- Margo Bogachova, February 2025
"Very approachable beginner course for all skill levels. I left way more knowledgeable and safe than I started, but the journey is only beginning."
- Dean Achelis, August 2023
"I had ridden motorcycle back in India and was getting back into it again here in the US. The training was very educating and the staff was super friendly. They had helmets and even gloves so that helped too. The bikes were very good and didn't pose any issues. The instructors, Anthony, Erin, and Tony were very nice and helped us immensely during the two day program. I loved the experience and would love to take intermediate lessons some time in future."
- Santosh Pendap, October 2024
"The team was great! Very informative and professional. Aaron gave great direction and Mitch was accommodating should you have any questions. Dave was very knowledgeable and focused on safety. Will definitely do another class in the future, thanks to everyone. Stay safe."

"Very knowledgeable and clearly dedicated staff. Q, Wyatt, and Tony were energetic, understanding, and had our safety and learning as their highest priority. As a somewhat experienced rider, I found this course very informative and useful. If you are a new rider, this course is indispensable. Take the course."
- Colin Mitsuoka, January 2025
"Took this training course and never been on a motorcycle. I took the classroom portion on eRider prior to practice riding range. This made it easy as it was going at my own pace. Really get to focus on what was being taught. The first day of riding portion, they’ll teach you where the controls are on the bike and a lot of slow maneuvering and Taking corners. Thomas and Mark was very patient. I was tentative but they kept reminding me to trust the process..."
- Red G., June 2024
"Amazing experience! Evie and Erin were incredibly patient and worked with me individually on skills that I struggled with and didn't make me feel bad for messing up. Joey brought the energy and encouragement and was fun to work with. There were many opportunities to practice the skills so the test at the end wasn't intimidating. I recommend this class for all noobs and for anyone who wants to learn how to ride the right way."
- Jessica Thiragirayuta, June 2024
