Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the East Bay area. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the East Bay area. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

We welcome all Livermore residents as well as future riders from neighboring towns such as Tracy, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Fremont, Hayward and Milpitas. Come learn how to ride a motorcycle and have fun with us!

"Absolutely amazing experience as someone who has never been on a bike before! Q was our main instructor for both days. He was so thorough at explaining everything and never hesitated at answering questions. Patrick was there our first day as the second instructor. His calm presence really helps a newbie feel comfortable. Dylan was there on the second day and so full of energy! All the instructors gave great advice and really made you feel confident in your abilities. Thank you again and will definitely be looking into taking more advanced classes in the future!"

"I took the intermediate class which reinforced and built on things I learned in the basic class. There was a lot of practice which was great, and fun. It was a hot day so at the end of it we were all pretty tired. Lecture and class setup were good for Covid-19, and broke up the sessions well. We had 2 instructors and several helpers for 10 students. I had my own bike, but the rentals were very cool 500cc Harley Davidsons!"

"No matter the years of riding experience you have, take this training which will teach you a lot of unknowns. Big thanks to Tim, Mike and Chris for being so passionate about what they do. The best trainers in and around Bay Area."

"Excellent training, friendly and knowledgeable instructors."

"The instructors take time to explain everything for beginners and intermediate training. They then show you how each concept is implemented on the motorcycle and learning hands on. Although I was nervous, the instructors had a lot of patience and pointed out what I needed to do to become a better rider."

"Truly my "ride or die" cycling course. From the moment I signed up for the beginner's course at Pacific Motorcycle Training, I was met with professionalism and enthusiasm. The quality of the instruction I received was outstanding; my instructor demonstrated extensive knowledge and a passion for riding that was truly infectious. Each lesson was clear, concise, and built confidence as well as skill. I was impressed by the meticulous attention to safety and the way the instructors emphasized its importance throughout the training. The course itself was well-structured, combining theory with practical sessions in a way that was both engaging and informative. There was a clear progression from the basics to more complex maneuvers, and I felt supported at every step. What really stood out for me was the patience and professionalism of the instructors. They were always willing to go the extra mile to address any concerns or difficulties, and their constructive feedback helped me improve significantly. I also appreciated the strong emphasis on real-world riding scenarios, which has prepared me well for the challenges of the road. By the end of the course, not only did I feel ready to ride, but I was also genuinely excited to continue developing my skills. I wholeheartedly recommend Pacific Motorcycle Training to anyone looking to learn how to ride safely and enjoyably. It's been an exhilarating journey from start to finish, and I'm grateful to have had such a solid foundation for my motorcycling adventures."
