Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the East Bay area. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

We welcome all Livermore residents as well as future riders from neighboring towns such as Tracy, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Fremont, Hayward and Milpitas. Come learn how to ride a motorcycle and have fun with us!

"I took the class with my son, and we both liked it! Evie, Erin and Brian are fantastic, patient instructors, who made the class fun and motivating. What I liked a lot is that the course isn’t just about learning to ride, but emphasizes safety which is especially important for younger people, like my 17year old son, whose frontal lobe hasn’t fully matured yet. :) Thank you for such a great experience!"

"I had ridden motorcycle back in India and was getting back into it again here in the US. The training was very educating and the staff was super friendly. They had helmets and even gloves so that helped too. The bikes were very good and didn't pose any issues. The instructors, Anthony, Erin, and Tony were very nice and helped us immensely during the two day program. I loved the experience and would love to take intermediate lessons some time in future."

"Morning course 16-17 August 2025 Basic I had a fantastic experience with Pacific Motorcycle Training in Livermore! Everything was well-organized from start to finish. The instructors (Wyatt, Joe, the blonde female instructor — I can't remember her name (so sorry)) did a great job explaining every part of the course, and they were always available to answer any questions. They were encouraging and supportive throughout, which really helped build confidence, especially for beginners..."

"The instructors were friendly and very knowledgeable. They were patient and gave me a lot of helpful tips when I was having trouble with the controls and following some of their instructions. Evie ran to help me when I fell over (thank God I wasn't going fast). I would have liked to spend more time getting used to the bike before starting maneuvers. It was my first time on a motorcycle and I never learned how to drive a car with a manual transmission so it took me a while to learn how to coordinate the clutch/switching gears with the acceleration..."

"Great class with a very positive learning environment. The directions were easy to follow, and the instructors were clear, patient, and easy to understand. They made learning the basics of riding simple and comfortable. I highly recommend this class for beginners wanting to build confidence and learn the fundamentals of riding."
- Adriana Devine, June 2026
"All instructors were fantastic, especially Evie. I felt no pressure, learned at my own pace, got invaluable feedback, and learned the skills necessary to operate a motorcycle. Highly recommended."
- stacie Clark, March 2024
"As a brand new rider with 0 experience I felt like I gained skills and knowledge for real world scenarios. The instructors were clear, patient, knowledgeable and did not hold back with the real risks of driving a motorcycle. I would strongly recommend ALL new or beginner riders to take this class. I can’t wait for my intermediate level!"
- Owen Bower, June 2025
