Learn to ride and get licensed!

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the San Francisco Bay. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the San Francisco Bay. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

"Tifa, Q, and Tony were fantastic coaches with clear communication and instructions. All of the instructors had great energy and focus to help and teach. It was an excellent beginner’s course with the CMSP certification (I passed the course and received the waiver in less than a week). I'll look to take intermediate and advanced rider courses in the future after some continued practice and skills refinement. Thank you for the training, and I highly recommend PMT to all new riders..."

"Our two days of training with our instructor Q was great. The helmet that they loaned me for me alright and was in great condition. The motorcycles area smaller and off brand for the most part. Some throttles and clutches were really old to the point where some of us had to kick the shifter so much it just broke off. Overall the sign up process was also straightforward. I called in to make sure i got everything right, they called me back and patiently explained everything..."
- Hossein Rahimi, July 2023
"The basic riding portion of the course was great for a beginner like me. Had never ridden a motorcycle before in my life, but was taught the foundational skills necessary to safely ride. Evie was a wonderful instructor. Highly recommend."
- Eric Wick, October 2023

"Kevin, Wyatt, and Steve were amazing, enthusiastic, and experienced instructors. They made learning how to ride a motorcycle so much easier. Very informative class if anyone is looking into riding. I would highly recommend taking the beginner class to learn the basics. It’ll help you become a better rider on the road."
- Tyler Nguyen, March 2025
"It’s a great place for beginners to learn to ride motorcycles. The course was designed well by the awesome instructors Watt, Steve and Tom. They provided great instruction and helped new riders gain confidence and skills. Absolutely recommended 5/5."
- A B, October 2024
"Went here January 2023. Super great experience. It was my first time using a clutch, and everything was explained extremely clearly. I am going to get my permit as soon as my form comes in the mail. Strongly reccomend to anyone wanting to get into motorcycles safely. If I can do it at 17 then anyone can."
- Ian Slye, January 2024
