About Us

Pacific Motorcycle Training

Pacific Motorcycle Training is a motorcycle riding school where students learn the basics and gain confidence to operate a motorcycle safely. We offer motorcycle training classes at 7 great locations: South San Francisco, San Bruno, Livermore at Las Positas College campus, Woodland, Salinas, Cloverdale and Eureka. These locations are easy to find and parking is always hassle-free.

Our basic course is CMSP-approved. This means students who take and pass our course receive a DL389 certificate required to waive the DMV riding skill test. We teach the very latest techniques in safety, accident prevention, cornering, and how to use a clutch as well as proficient braking.

For New Riders

Learn the basics of riding safely in a controlled environment and receive the certificate that may waive the DMV riding skill test. Our friendly basic riding course was designed for people with zero experience on a motorcycle. We provide motorcycles and helmets for you to learn with.

For Experienced Riders

Become a better—and safer—rider using your own motorcycle with our Intermediate Riding Clinic. Or take your cornering and crash-avoidance skills to the highest level with our Advanced Riding Clinics, taught only by the best certified instructors in the Bay Area!

"The course was fun and informative. It was great to be able to learn skills without the pressure of real time street traffic."

"5 stars for the program! I ve learned a lot just by attending this short 2 day course. Both Chris and Isaac are great instructors. They bring lots of real life experience and humor when they teach. They make the classes fun both inside the class room and on the range. Highly recommend them!!"

"The class was very well organized. All three instructors I had were kind, encouraging, and fun. They were very clear in communicating instructions and feedback. The class covered basic skills with a good amount of practice time. I had a great time and learned a lot. I’m excited to ride, and come back to take the next class."

"I had a good experience in this training. I felt pretty safe riding a motorcycle around the course. The bikes are pretty new, and the helmets are in good shape too! The staff is knowledgable, friendly, and they answer all your questions."
- Joel Torralbas Villa, May 2023
"I’m still in shock. I was actually able to ride a motorcycle and (!!) it was fun. It was my first time on a bike and first time using a clutch. The course breaks the drills down to baby steps that build on each other. I felt uneasy the majority of the first day but never unsafe. Chris and Dylan deserve all your money if you want to learn to ride. They are excellent coaches who balance constructive criticism and encouragement. Every bit of coaching made me feel safer and more confident on the bike..."
- Erica Rayworth, February 2025
"Kevin, Wyatt, and Steve were amazing, enthusiastic, and experienced instructors. They made learning how to ride a motorcycle so much easier. Very informative class if anyone is looking into riding. I would highly recommend taking the beginner class to learn the basics. It’ll help you become a better rider on the road."
- Tyler Nguyen, March 2025
"Absolutely fantastic training for the newbie!! I was riding a motorcycle by the end of the day- it was fabulous! The teachers, both in the classroom and on the range, are all very experienced (10+years) riders. They stayed calm even when I didn't. The classroom instruction is thorough but not excessive; I would have loved a few more hours on the range since I was SO new. I will definitely be taking more classes with them!"
- Kristi Swensson Burdsall, March 2019
