About Us

Pacific Motorcycle Training

Pacific Motorcycle Training is a motorcycle riding school where students learn the basics and gain confidence to operate a motorcycle safely. We offer motorcycle and scooter training classes at six great locations: South San Francisco, San Bruno, Livermore at Las Positas College campus, Woodland, Salinas and San Jose. These locations are easy to find and parking is always hassle-free.

Our basic course is CMSP-approved. This means students who take and pass our course receive a DL389 certificate required to waive the DMV riding skill test. We teach the very latest techniques in safety, accident prevention, cornering, and how to use a clutch as well as proficient braking.

For New Riders

Learn the basics of riding safely in a controlled environment and receive the certificate that may waive the DMV riding skill test. Our friendly basic riding course was designed for people with zero experience on a motorcycle. We provide motorcycles and helmets for you to learn with.

For Experienced Riders

Become a better—and safer—rider using your own motorcycle with our Intermediate Riding Clinic. Or take your cornering and crash-avoidance skills to the highest level with our Advanced Riding Clinics, taught only by the best certified instructors in the Bay Area!

"Our two days of training with our instructor Q was great. The helmet that they loaned me for me alright and was in great condition. The motorcycles area smaller and off brand for the most part. Some throttles and clutches were really old to the point where some of us had to kick the shifter so much it just broke off. Overall the sign up process was also straightforward. I called in to make sure i got everything right, they called me back and patiently explained everything. The online course was great material and informative, albeit very long!"

"First a big shout out to the experts running the training: Evie, Tex, and Crusoe. You guys had great energy, were great at answering my questions, and made the day fun and exciting. The decades of experience between you really shows on the range and I'm grateful to have gotten the opportunity to learn from you all. Before this class I had never ridden a motorcycle. Seeing the bikes for the first time even gave me a slight hesitation that I'd be able to control them (Harley Street 500s for my course). By the end of the training I was amazed by what I could do on them. Tight turning, weaving, and emergency stops were all practiced. The experts provided clear feedback for most every action and were as thrilled as I was when I got something perfect. I would absolutely recommend this course to any one interested in motorcycles and motorcycle safety. My key takeaways from this course: * This course gave me a deeper understanding and respect for motorcycles and their riders. From space cushions to escape routes the techniques taught in this class are going to make me a better driver and and eventual rider hands down. * The course is low pressure (apart from the tests for the M1 that is). I messed up more than a few times and so did other riders in the class. We learn and keep moving forward. No one in the class made fun of each other and the instructors were quick to step in and correct things. * Ask questions and give answers. I found that for some of the techniques I performed them better when I answered a question or asked for clarification. It gave me the confidence I needed to know I was doing something right. So participation is very much encouraged Thanks again and see you on the open road!"

"The Beginner course is great! A lot of good safety and basic motorcycle operating procedures covered in the theory classes. PMT provides bikes for people who don't own one yet to practice with. The instructors on the course are very helpful and provide continuous feedback to correct riding posture and other nuances. I would definitely recommend taking this course for people who aren't comfortable or used to riding a motorcycle."

"My son and I went through the class and truly enjoyed the experience. The instructors were extremely knowledgable and articulate in their delivery of all the subject matter. They were receptive to all the questions posed by the students and provided solid answers. The practical portion of the class was obviously the best, and the instructors continued directions and recommendations on how to improve our riding techniques. The motorcycles available were in excellent shape and of many different types to fit all the riders. This was WELL WORTH the money spent, and I will highly recommend them to my friends and family."

"Everyone was so kind and supportive, they never made me feel like I was dumb for not understanding something and made sure to explain everything clearly and in ways that were easy to understand. They obviously care about actually teaching people how to ride, not just pass the course or the test. I absolutely will be taking their intermediate and advanced courses once I have more experience riding, and am excited to learn more from them. Super knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I would and will recommend them to anyone who wants to learn how to ride motorcycles."

"A must for anyone thinking of riding. The instructors are amazing and actually care about you learning vs just trying to get you through the lesson. The exercises are useful and to the point, none of the time is wasted on anything you wouldn’t use on the road."
