About Us

Pacific Motorcycle Training

Pacific Motorcycle Training is a motorcycle riding school where students learn the basics and gain confidence to operate a motorcycle safely. We offer motorcycle and scooter training classes at six great locations: South San Francisco, San Bruno, Livermore at Las Positas College campus, Woodland, Salinas and San Jose. These locations are easy to find and parking is always hassle-free.

Our basic course is CMSP-approved. This means students who take and pass our course receive a DL389 certificate required to waive the DMV riding skill test. We teach the very latest techniques in safety, accident prevention, cornering, and how to use a clutch as well as proficient braking.

For New Riders

Learn the basics of riding safely in a controlled environment and receive the certificate that may waive the DMV riding skill test. Our friendly basic riding course was designed for people with zero experience on a motorcycle. We provide motorcycles and helmets for you to learn with.

For Experienced Riders

Become a better—and safer—rider using your own motorcycle with our Intermediate Riding Clinic. Or take your cornering and crash-avoidance skills to the highest level with our Advanced Riding Clinics, taught only by the best certified instructors in the Bay Area!

"I am a complete beginner when it comes to bikes. But if I knew there was a class out there like PMT, I would have jumped on a bike a long time ago. All of the instructors are incredible. They make the classes enjoyable and comfortable while maintaining structure and delivering a wealth of knowledge. It seems like they have all been in the game for a while. The tall Craig was absolutely awesome. I wanted to go have a beer with him or something! The rest of the students in my class were great and we bounced a lot of ideas off each other. If you are at all interested in learning to ride, just go with PMT."

"Great place to learn the basics of riding a motorcycle. Instructors are knowledgeable and have many years riding motorcycles."
― Ruben Placencia
"Helpful staff. Knowledgeable instructors. You will definitely come out more confident in riding a motorcycle if you are a newbie. A con though: You better pass the written test the first time, or else they will charge you $75 to re-take it. I personally did not see the reason why. I mean, I took it during their business hour."
― Johnny Gonzalez
"Pacific Motorcycle Training was a superb class. Even though I had ridden a motorcycle before, they still taught valuable habits and lessons in the beginner course. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole experience was immensely valuable. I would highly recommend to anybody interested in riding a motorcycle!"
― Luke Holmes
"A must for anyone thinking of riding. The instructors are amazing and actually care about you learning vs just trying to get you through the lesson. The exercises are useful and to the point, none of the time is wasted on anything you wouldn’t use on the road."
― Chris Wong
"Awesome experience! Chris, Kyle, and Isaac are great instructors. They will correct your mistakes every time they see something wrong because they really want to prevent you from building bad habits. I recommend this course for anyone interested in learning to ride. Don't be intimidated, most of the class has never touched a bike before and they start you off really easy until you're comfortable!"
― Joseph Fontana
"Best training! Highly recommend taking this course. Made me a better and safer driver"
