About Us

Pacific Motorcycle Training

Pacific Motorcycle Training is a motorcycle riding school where students learn the basics and gain confidence to operate a motorcycle safely. We offer motorcycle training classes at 7 great locations: South San Francisco, San Bruno, Livermore at Las Positas College campus, Woodland, Salinas, Cloverdale and Eureka. These locations are easy to find and parking is always hassle-free.

Our basic course is CMSP-approved. This means students who take and pass our course receive a DL389 certificate required to waive the DMV riding skill test. We teach the very latest techniques in safety, accident prevention, cornering, and how to use a clutch as well as proficient braking.

For New Riders

Learn the basics of riding safely in a controlled environment and receive the certificate that may waive the DMV riding skill test. Our friendly basic riding course was designed for people with zero experience on a motorcycle. We provide motorcycles and helmets for you to learn with.

For Experienced Riders

Become a better—and safer—rider using your own motorcycle with our Intermediate Riding Clinic. Or take your cornering and crash-avoidance skills to the highest level with our Advanced Riding Clinics, taught only by the best certified instructors in the Bay Area!

"I had a great time! Great instructors, very knowledgeable and gave good feedback. Generally patient people, but can be stern when they need to, as motorcycling is a very dangerous sport. Ending up passing the test at the end of my beginner lesson with 0 points taken off. Great school!"

"The best motorcycle school with the very best instructors - relaxed, friendly, patient, and very supportive. When you do something right, they encourage you to keep riding well,. When you do something wrong, they gently point you in the right direction. In my class we had total beginners and still everybody passed because the instructors were so good. THANK YOU guys!"

"Great instructors who brought patience, humor and first class professionalism to the serious topics covered through this well thought out program. The bikes are adequate for the job and the location is ideal with great views and no distractions. The toilets are quite a walk and during our visit could have done with a few lightbulbs being replaced. The 6 to 1 instructor to pupil ratio is ideal in providing quality learning."
- Fraser Marshall, April 2025
"When I heard that these guys were opening a Sacramento location, I got three friends signed up who've been gearing up to take a training course on the east side. I wasn't surprised that they enjoyed their experience as much as I did. I would recommend Pacific Motorcycle Training to anyone looking to learn from scratch or just to keep your skills fresh. Very professional, knowledgeable and they keep it fun!"
- Matt Hoffman-Beals, November 2023
"Professional staff provided thorough and precise training on how to handle and safely ride a motorcycle. From learning the controls, gears, and brakes to negotiating various driving scenarios. Although I have experience with motorcycles, it’s been several years since I last rode and this course was well worth the time. The focus on safety and awareness was much appreciated."
- Raul Munoz, June 2025
"I took the beginner course here. Before taking this course, I had never been on a motorcycle. Now I can say I can confidently operate a bike and be safe. Wyatt, Erin, and Q are great instructors! They are super knowledgeable and patient. Throughout the course, they did a great job at building up everyone’s confidence and preparing them for the assessment. I will definitely be taking the intermediate course once I get my own bike!"
- Raymond Hernandez, November 2024
"The instructors are very insightful, nice, and patient. I'm glad I took this course. I would recommend it to anyone looking to learn how to ride a motorcycle. If I decide to pursue any advance motorcycling courses, they will likely be my first consideration."
