About Us

Pacific Motorcycle Training

Pacific Motorcycle Training is a motorcycle riding school where students learn the basics and gain confidence to operate a motorcycle safely. We offer motorcycle training classes at 7 great locations: South San Francisco, San Bruno, Livermore at Las Positas College campus, Woodland, Salinas, Cloverdale and Eureka. These locations are easy to find and parking is always hassle-free.

Our basic course is CMSP-approved. This means students who take and pass our course receive a DL389 certificate required to waive the DMV riding skill test. We teach the very latest techniques in safety, accident prevention, cornering, and how to use a clutch as well as proficient braking.

For New Riders

Learn the basics of riding safely in a controlled environment and receive the certificate that may waive the DMV riding skill test. Our friendly basic riding course was designed for people with zero experience on a motorcycle. We provide motorcycles and helmets for you to learn with.

"I was nervous before class. But the instructors were very nice and very encouraging. They had an extreme eye for detail and took the time to listen to anybody that had questions. They very very safe and I'll feel like I left there ready to become a safe rider."

"I really enjoyed this motorcycle course. I have been riding for over two years and would consider myself an intermediate rider. The teachers were fantastic - Wyatt and another guy but I can’t remember his name :/ they were clear, fun and knowledgeable, and the course was set out really well. I was thankful that we did similar drills/exercises over and over again to really impress it into our memory and get it right, and like I said, the teachers were excellent ..."

"Took this training course and never been on a motorcycle. I took the classroom portion on eRider prior to practice riding range. This made it easy as it was going at my own pace. Really get to focus on what was being taught. The first day of riding portion, they’ll teach you where the controls are on the bike and a lot of slow maneuvering and Taking corners. Thomas and Mark was very patient. I was tentative but they kept reminding me to trust the process..."

"The experience was overall very fun, I enjoyed taking the class over the past weekend. My instructor was very patient and was available at any time during the hands on training to answer questions that we had. She always gave clear and detailed instructions and even demonstrated herself a few of the exercises that we did. Overall 10/10 experience, highly recommended for beginners like myself"

"If you’ve ever wanted to ride a motorcycle, I highly recommend these phenomenal instructors! They’re so easy to work with and so kind. Stephanie at helping me out with scheduling, Chris was awesome with getting me the info I needed quickly, and Zack the instructor was so patient. I went from being terrified to ride, to zipping around and having a blast. My cheeks hurt from smiling"

"Couldn’t hope for a more comprehensive way to refresh my memory after not riding for the last ten years, and get my motorcycle endorsement while at it. Super easy to reach (walk through the Tanforan from the San Bruno BART station and it’s right across the street) and incredibly patient and knowledgeable instructors (props to Dillon for his great attitude and humor!)."

"Went here January 2023. Super great experience. It was my first time using a clutch, and everything was explained extremely clearly. I am going to get my permit as soon as my form comes in the mail. Strongly reccomend to anyone wanting to get into motorcycles safely. If I can do it at 17 then anyone can."
- Ian Slye, January 2024
