Monterey SPECIAL EVENT

About Us

Pacific Motorcycle Training

Pacific Motorcycle Training is a motorcycle riding school where students learn the basics and gain confidence to operate a motorcycle safely. We offer motorcycle training classes at 7 great locations: South San Francisco, San Bruno, Livermore at Las Positas College campus, Woodland, Salinas, Cloverdale and Eureka. These locations are easy to find and parking is always hassle-free.

Our basic course is CMSP-approved. This means students who take and pass our course receive a DL389 certificate required to waive the DMV riding skill test. We teach the very latest techniques in safety, accident prevention, cornering, and how to use a clutch as well as proficient braking.

For New Riders

Learn the basics of riding safely in a controlled environment and receive the certificate that may waive the DMV riding skill test. Our friendly basic riding course was designed for people with zero experience on a motorcycle. We provide motorcycles and helmets for you to learn with.

For Experienced Riders

Become a better—and safer—rider using your own motorcycle with our Intermediate Riding Clinic. Or take your cornering and crash-avoidance skills to the highest level with our Advanced Riding Clinics, taught only by the best certified instructors in the Bay Area!

"I had ZERO experience on a motorcycle and by the first day of behind the wheel class I was riding!! Great course! It’s a lot to take in but the instructors were very patient, friendly and knowledgeable! Dylan and Tony were awesome!! They had great chemistry and made the course fun!! Tony is super supportive and encouraging and Dylan can be hard on you but when he praises you, you know you did a good job! Love the enthusiasm of those two. Will definitely sign up for the intermediate class in the future."

"Kevin, Wyatt, and Steve were amazing, enthusiastic, and experienced instructors. They made learning how to ride a motorcycle so much easier. Very informative class if anyone is looking into riding. I would highly recommend taking the beginner class to learn the basics. It’ll help you become a better rider on the road."

"I recently took the intermediate course to get my motorcycle license, and honestly, I was a bit nervous about the skills test at first. But the bikes they provided were all new or newer models, super easy to ride, and that made a huge difference. The overall experience was fun, and the day flew by. We had a bit of classroom time, but most of the day was spent riding — which is exactly what I was hoping for. The instructors were very relaxed and easygoing, which helped make the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free..."

"PMT was awesome! I’ve been riding a few years and still learned so much! Mark and Zack are great teachers! They explained everything very well and made sure everyone understood. I’ll be going back to the intermediate class and talked one of my friends into going also, definitely worth it. Hopefully I’ll get mark and Zach as instructors again! 🤘"
- Chris Smith, July 2025
"Everyone was so kind and supportive, they never made me feel like I was dumb for not understanding something and made sure to explain everything clearly and in ways that were easy to understand. They obviously care about actually teaching people how to ride, not just pass the course or the test. I absolutely will be taking their intermediate and advanced courses once I have more experience riding, and am excited to learn more from them. Super knowledgeable and incredibly helpful..."
