Elevate the Ride & Expand Your Possibilities

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school in the San Jose/South Bay area, where riders can take their motorcycle riding to a new level. Take in some new techniques, experience professional coaching and stretch yourself in an experience that will help you fine tune your skills and follow your path to mastery. At our San Jose site we offer both intermediate and advanced course for licensed riders.

Total Control® Intermediate Riding Clinic

Developed by Total Control Training, the Intermediate Riding Clinic is the perfect next step for newer riders who are looking to improve their skills as well as riders that have recently returned to riding after years off. This course includes both classroom and on-cycle instruction. The IRC is based on the most current research in rider safety, utilizes modern training methods and has been proven to enhance student outcomes. (This is not a licensing course —you must have your M-1 to participate in the IRC at the San Jose location. For the Intermediate Riding Clinic / CMSP 1-Day Premier Course with licensing option, please see our class offerings in Livermore and Salinas.)

Total Control® Advanced Riding Clinic

Whether you want to become a more proficient and safer rider on the street—or a faster rider on the track—mastering advanced riding techniques is crucial and should not be postponed until it is too late. Unfortunately, most advanced riding courses in the country are only offered in high-speed racetrack environments. The fear of crashing at high speeds and the pressure of other riders flying by are too intimidating to most motorcyclists so they never take this important step forward. During our Advanced Riding Clinics, every drill is performed one at a time, and at street-legal speeds, in a controlled environment. After each run, you will receive professional, concise coaching on the specific skills you need to work on to transform your riding. From cruisers to sportbikes, all types of motorcycles and riding styles are welcome to attend. This course is based on Lee Parks' best selling book Total Control: High Performance Street Riding Techniques.

For New Riders

Learn the basics of riding safely in a controlled environment and receive the certificate that may waive the DMV riding skill test. Our friendly basic riding course was designed for people with zero experience on a motorcycle. We provide motorcycles and helmets for you to learn with.

For Experienced Riders

Become a better—and safer—rider using your own motorcycle with our Intermediate Riding Clinic. Or take your cornering and crash-avoidance skills to the highest level with our Advanced Riding Clinics, taught only by the best certified instructors in the Bay Area!

"Great training, great set up, the instructors were really professional and knowledgeable always ready to help with any questions, the motorcycles for the training where nice and easy to ride, trouble free, I already recommended 2 people that are interested in taking the class"
― Bernardo Padilla
"10/10 - I HIGHLY recommend them. This group is incredibly knowledgeable, and care deeply about the training they provide. I cannot recommend this organization any more highly. Erin(1), Erin(2), Steve, and Dillon were all PHENOMENAL instructors!!"
― James Frieberg
"Both instructors, Christine and Earl, were great. They were in sync throughout the day. They were very knowledgeable and knew how to effectively deliver constructive feedback."
― Mike Garmon
"I had a great time taking this course! The instructors Craig and Issac, were patient with me and answered all of my questions. (I hope I didn't ask too many!) They were very informative and made me feel confident, and now I can be a better rider and also a better driver too! I would recommend this course to anyone in the Bay area no matter what level of rider you are."
― Ben W
"Great staff and experience. Was very comfortable and enjoyed the confidence, even when the rain started to fall. Had fun, learned a lot and enjoyed the knowledge that was shared."
― Paul Rousseau
"Great course that taught me the necessary skills while having some fun. They have a variety of bikes to learn on and the instructors Chris and Dillon were real cool overall great experience with the only one real downside being there can be a few too many people for the course I felt. 🤙"
― Jacob Tamayo
"Attended the ARC1 in San Jose. The instructors were great and the course was interesting both the "classroom" and the practical aspect. What really surprised me, was at the end of the course I didn't think I got much out of it, a few pointers maybe, but I felt like it wasn't worth the time... I was wrong!! As soon as I got on my ride home over Hwy 17, I realized very quickly that I was much more relaxed, rode faster, and yet more safely, and expended much less energy while doing so, the corners flowed with zero tension. I actually couldn't believe the transformation. I was and still am blown away. I think because the training is so much new stuff, given so quickly, that you feel like you didn't improve, but the ride home showed otherwise. Highly recommend this course. My only criticism would be that it seemed like the course was over booked. Although they divided us into 4 sub groups, it still seemed crowded and not enough practice time."
― Steven Henderson
